What an exciting trip!
January 29th, 2010Wow! CHA was amazing. I was able to see all the new and upcoming new products by all the manufacturers. I have so much to share with you that it will take me a few days to search all the photos and add them to the blog. Please keep checking.
Tim Holtz - he has teamed up with Sizzix to bring some amazing new dies. He is definitely on the top of his game. The Movers and Shakers are hollow in the middle and have a metal base so you can add the holes or key holes wherever you want as they are magnetic. You can add 1 hole, 2 holes or 3 holes - wherever you want them. So clever! If you are interested in adding these dies to your collection please call me and I can pre-order them for you. They should arrive in late February.

He also has new paper pads. What I love is that each pattern is printed in 12 x 12 size, 6 x 6, 2 x 2, ATC size and borders - all in one pad - and the colors are fabulous.

While I was at his booth I saw what I thought it was some kind of vintage suitcase, only to learn later that it is an electronic cutting machine. This little motorized machine will cut paper, grundgepaper, fabric and acrylic. unfortunately it is not available until July. I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

This is a photo from Tim’s booth - I want to bring these cabinets home:

Tim also has new stamps from Stamper’s Anonymous. There are many styles - if you are interested in any let me know and I can special order them for you. Here is a sample:

I am so impressed with Basic Grey. They again have come to the top of their game. I love the Cappella - it is so elegant! Shipping in April.

I also love Max and Whiskers. As the name suggests it is a pet line but what I love is that so many of the prints can be used for anything - it is perfect for bright colorful pages. Shipping in April

Kioshi is very soft - great for girl or easter pages. Shipping in February

Green at Heart - now as you know I have 2 boys so I don’t see myself using much of this line but I know you scrapbookers with girls will love it. Shipping in February

I think my absolute favorite paper line this season is Bo Bunny’s Mama-razzi line. I love the grundgy colors and all the prints. (Mamz-razzi is the mommy version of paparazzi). I have pre-ordered enough to do a mini album class. It is due to arrive in February.

They also have Sophie, Roughin’ it Jazmyne and Paradise

Another of my favorites is Pink Paislee. Shipping in March. Check this picture out from the show:

7 Gypsies is always in my top 5. Have a look at their booth - it was amazing:

They have new paper, embellishments, stationary, book covers, receipt holder and printers trays.

Fancy Pants has 4 new lines - available March

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the show:
First day in California - My friend Laura ( she owns Photoworks by Laura in Swift Current) and I walking to the conference with our roller bags in tack - wanting to fill them with lots of new product and cataloges. I love the row of palm trees!

Trying to decide what to order - what the heck - just order it all!

Me and Tim - we became really close. OK not really but it looks like it. He was awesome.

My friend Mel and I with Kelly Goree a designer for Basic Grey

On evening on our way back to the hotel we were in time to see the beautiful sky as the sun was setting. 2 local ladies were walking by at the same time we were taking the picture and they were muttering and laughing to themselves - “look at those crazy ladies - they are taking a photo of the trees.” They just don’t see the beauty in them like we do.

Paula Cheney from 7 Gypsies and I. I was so impressed that she remembered me from previous years at the Edmonton show I go to.

And, I can actually say that I saw the beach. It may have only been from the window on the airplane but I saw it.

I think that is about all I have time for now. I must go and put my boys to bed. I will add more when I get a chance.
